Zooka, helping you live better.

Zooka Health
Let’s face it, all of us want to live better – whether we’d admit it (to ourselves and others) or not. That’s why Matthew and Graeme, two young Capetonians started Zooka Health Company. Their venture is aimed at promoting overall well-being and a better lifestyle – the lifestyle they’d been living all their lives – so they decided to share it with the world.

Zooka started as a small, entirely handmade, kombucha-brewing business out of their home, but has quickly gained traction among Capetonians, and has since expanded to include organic juices, a juice cleanse program and even ventured into catering.

Weโ€™ve always been those guys who try to encourage our friends and family to live healthier lifestyles and make better, more informed, choices when it comes to health. Itโ€™s a passion to use our knowledge about health to help others โ€˜live betterโ€™.

Here at The Authentik we had the opportunity to test their kombucha, which is 100% natural, with no preservatives or added sugar. Sounds daunting in this sugar-driven society, right? Wrong. It is absolutely delicious and contains only the ingredients that promote your overall well-being. Kombucha is packed full of antioxidants that help break down toxins and improve digestion with amazing strains of bacteria and probiotics.

Matthew and Graeme produce everything themselves and supports local farmers for their stock. They keep a close eye on quality and ethically sourced products.

Zooka also offer a Detox Package, which consists of seven days worth of the ZOOKA Green Cleanse, kombucha and includes a superfood smoothie pack.

Their advice to consumers on living healthy is to educate yourself on smart food choices. Today’s world is filled with processed foods packed with harmful sugars, pesticides and preservatives. Familiarise yourself with the ingredients and nutritional information on the back of products you regularly eat. A little bit of research can go a long way in creating a healthier lifestyle. As the saying goes, โ€œlet food be thy medicine & medicine be thy foodโ€ – Hippocrates.
